How to clean a radiator
- How to clean behind your radiator
methods for reaching the hidden dirt if you can’t easily take the radiator off the wall.
Long cloths or old towels
A slightly damp rag or old towel can be a very easy method to reach this awkward spot.
Simply twist the fabric tightly lengthways and using a flossing motion up and down the back of the radiator to dislodge grime.
Damp sock and wire coat hanger – This homemade contraption can be quite effective and low cost!
Make sure to securely tie the sock onto the wire, otherwise you will have a lost sock lodged in your radiator as well as the dust!
Bottle/Pipe brushes – These slim brushes have extra-long handles to reach in all the crevices behind the radiator, and fluffy bristles to dislodge dust and dirt. For smaller areas, toothbrushes can also be helpful to scrub away grime.
To make your radiator smell fresh, a good tip is to add a couple of drops of essential oil to a damp cloth and rub over the outside of the radiator. This will help to release the scent when the radiator is switched on and heats up.
If you have not cleaned your radiator for a while, it is best to try and do it during summer months when it is not in use.

Try hanging a damp cloth or sheet of damp newspaper behind the radiator and blowing the radiator with a hairdryer.
This will force out the hidden dust, forcing it to stick to the cloth or newspaper that you have strategically placed behind the radiator.

Spread a towel out and lay it underneath the radiator.
push the dust cloth on the stick from the top of the radiator to the bottom, pushing the dust and dirt down to the bottom.
fill a bucket with warm water.
a small amount of soap and agitate until suds begin to form.
Moisten a soft cloth with the soapy water and squeeze it out so it is slightly damp.
Wipe down the exterior of the radiator.

humidity at home
Her odanın eşit ısınmasına dikkat edin

- Indoor humidity levels should be between 30 to 50 percent with the ideal level being about 45 percent.
If humidity is too low, you can suffer from dry noses, skin, and throats, as well as cracked fingertips, and you're more likely to catch a cold.
Dryness can also damage wood and drywall, cause your wood floors to shrink, and even cause your piano to go out of tune.
Static electricity is also increased as the humidity levels decreased.
Low humidity is more common in colder climates because cold air is less able to hold water vapor.
(This is why air conditioners drip water - colder air holds less humidity.)
Older and less energy-efficient homes are also more likely to suffer from low humidity.
Humidity that is too high will stain ceilings and walls, and can cause paint and wallpaper to peel.
It is also a breeding ground for mold, rot and insects such as termites and cockroaches.
Homes that are more energy-efficient are also more likely to suffer from problems with higher humidity.
The tighter your house is, the less air that is exchanged.
Basements are notorious for having higher humidity levels.
Bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms also have higher humidity levels.
Bedrooms and rooms closer to these areas will have a higher humidity level than ones further away.
Humidity Too Low
Humidity levels are easily increased by using a humidifier.
Humidity Too High
If the humidity is too high in your home or basement, there are two ways you can decrease it.
A less expensive method is to purchase a dehumidifier
During the winter humidity levels drop because cold air holds less moisture than warm air.
Homes that utilize forced air heating have an exacerbated problem because furnaces use combustion to create hot air, thus burning out most of the water vapor that existed in the first place.
To make matters worse, when humidity levels dip the ambient air feels cooler than more humid environments, and we turn up the heat to compensate
Low humidity causes static electricity, dry skin and hair, increased susceptibility to colds and respiratory illness, and can allow viruses and germs to thrive
electronics can be damaged because of low humidity levels.
adding a humidifier to your home will remedy these problems; there are three standard types from which to choose
http://www.doityourself.com/stry/moisturehumidifier
- radiator humidifier
these low tech versions do a good job of adding some moisture to a room by heating the water, which then evaporates.
http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/-we-dont-know-about-70034
- Bathroom doors should be kept closed at all times,
Kitchens should have a cooker hood – vented to the outside, rather than recirculating the air through a carbon filter
Bedrooms also need ventilation, as the body can give off half a litre of moisture overnight through respiration and perspiration.

- Rutubeti önlemek
yıkanırken ve yemek yaparken buharın çıkması için banyo ve mutfak pencerelerini açın
